CenCom E9-1-1 General Information

CenCom E9-1-1 The Mission of CenCom is to provide responsible, professional public safety communication services to member agenices and their communities.

CenCom is funded in many different ways. The main source of our Operational funding comes from the Villages and Agencies we serve. CenCom also receives 9-1-1 surcharge money from telephone customers within our service area.
This funding allows CenCom to operate on a day to day basis as well maintain the extensive and costly physical equipment needed to operate a consolidated 9-1-1 communications.

CenCom answers 9-1-1 and Non-Emergency phones for all
Police, Fire and EMS for the agencies it serves.

· CenCom also provides after hours Public Works notifications.
· CenCom monitors a central holding facility.
· CenCom receives direct alarms for businesses

CenCom Staff are involved in APCO and NENA which are 9-1-1 professional organizations that operate on a State and National level
